After the long and boring winter Viking is streching and starting to wake up.
Ready to go.
Viking is trying to convince me that he knows how to behave like a well trained dog, sitting beside me and looking up to my eyes. James and Eric try to take advantage of the moment by play-attacking him.
I like this picture a lot. Look at the sunlight on Viking's neck and back. It makes them square. And a greyhound is supposed to be a dog of flowing lines and curves? Well, I guess Viki is a square table-dog :)
These wonderful photos were taken by Sakari Lampola at a lure coursing competition in Finland 03.08.2008. Unfortunately Viking was outsmarted by the "rabbit" this time, but I hope he learned a good lesson :)
Here are his most important lure coursing results:
06.05.2007 - 544 points, CAC
15.09.2007 - 537 points, CAC
16.09.2007 - 556 points, CAC
07.06.2008 - 493 points, CAC
08.06.2008 - 226 points, CAC
(there were no finals in 08.06. because the "rabbit" died. Both of
them.)
20.07.2008 - 506 points, CQ
30.08.2008 - 491 points, CQ
31.08.2008 - 463 points, DERBY W 2008
Catching mice?
Two tough ones? No comments...

coursing competition in 2007
10 minutes later, finishing up...
Looking for that "bunny" on the field.
After the competition. As a true gentleman, Viking gave the first place to his sister. Or maybe thats what he thought. As a matter of fact, he was beaten by her with quite a few points, but would he ever admit it? No way. Boys will be boys...
Lucky for us, he didn't put his nose too high and was more than willing to play with us after the ceremony was over :)
